Profile
Weave Robotics is a San Francisco-based early-stage robotics startup founded in 2024 (Y Combinator Summer 2024 batch). The company is developing practical personal home robots aimed at handling everyday household chores to give people more time back. Their mission focuses on building useful, reliable robots for real homes rather than waiting for distant general-purpose humanoid futures.
Weave’s flagship product is Isaac, a wheeled humanoid-style mobile robot designed specifically for home environments. A more limited initial version, Isaac 0, is already in early deployment and available for pre-order.
Key robot-based products include:
- Isaac 0 (Laundry-Folding Robot): A stationary or semi-stationary early-release model focused on one high-impact task — autonomously folding laundry. It uses computer vision, fabric recognition, and soft robotic grippers to sort and fold clothes from a pile in 30–90 minutes. It can be installed quickly and is currently available in the San Francisco Bay Area for pre-order at approximately $7,999 upfront or $450/month subscription.
- Isaac (Full Version): The more ambitious mobile robot planned for broader home assistance. Capabilities include tidying up messes, folding laundry, acting as a second caretaker, making/serving coffee, and performing fetch tasks. It combines autonomous navigation, manipulation, and voice/app control. First customer shipments are targeted for 2026.
Weave emphasizes practical deployment over full autonomy from day one — early versions incorporate teleoperation (human-in-the-loop) for reliability, with plans to increase autonomy through real-world data collection. The robots are designed to be safe, compact enough for typical homes, and focused on high-frequency chores that save the most time.
As a small team (around 10 employees), Weave has already deployed robots in homes, laundromats, and hotels in California. The company takes a pragmatic approach: starting with specific, solvable problems before expanding to general home assistance.
