MobED (Mobile Eccentric Droid) is an advanced robotics platform developed by Hyundai Motor Group’s Robotics LAB. Featuring four independently controlled wheels and a unique eccentric mechanism, MobED can navigate various terrains and remain stable on uneven surfaces. Its autonomous driving technology ensures safe and efficient obstacle avoidance, even in crowded environments. As a mobile robot platform, MobED offers a universal mounting rail and API, making it easy for anyone to develop and attach custom upper modules for tasks like delivery, surveillance, research, and advertising. There are two versions available: the Basic model provides a flexible foundation for users to design and build mobile robots tailored to their needs, maximizing adaptability. The Pro model supports the same level of customization but is equipped with additional sensors, enabling convenient and reliable autonomous driving in various environments. This dual-model approach broadens MobED’s usability and application potential.
