Profile
Milrem Robotics is an Estonian defense technology company founded in 2013 and recognized as a global leader in unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) and autonomous military robotics. Headquartered in Tallinn, Estonia, with additional offices across Europe, the UAE, and the USA, Milrem develops combat-proven, modular robotic systems that enhance operational effectiveness, reduce risk to personnel, and provide tactical advantages on the modern battlefield. The company has delivered systems to over 20 countries (including multiple NATO members) and has seen its UGVs used in real combat operations, notably supporting Ukrainian forces. Milrem emphasizes cost-effective, interoperable solutions and is a key participant in major European defense initiatives such as iMUGS, CUGS, and LATACC.
Milrem’s robots are designed for multi-mission use, with a focus on modularity, autonomy, and integration with other systems. They support a wide range of payloads and configurations for logistics, reconnaissance, combat support, and counter-UAS operations.
Key Robot-Based Products:
- THeMIS: The company’s flagship multi-mission UGV. This tracked, modular platform serves as a universal base for various missions, including cargo transport (CASEVAC), remote weapon stations, reconnaissance, and engineering tasks. It has been combat-tested and is one of the most widely used UGVs globally.
- VECTOR: A tracked robotic combat vehicle designed to support mechanized units. It offers high mobility, payload capacity, and integration with weapon systems for direct combat support.
- HAVOC and MRCV: Advanced robotic combat vehicles developed for mechanized infantry support, offering significant firepower and protection in high-intensity conflicts.
- ARCOS and MIFIK (Milrem Intelligent Function Integration Kit): Autonomy solutions that add intelligent, semi-autonomous, or fully autonomous capabilities to both manned and unmanned platforms. These kits enhance situational awareness, reduce operator workload, and improve mission success rates.
Milrem Robotics continues to expand its portfolio with counter-UAS solutions, advanced autonomy features, and international partnerships. Its systems are built for harsh battlefield conditions, with strong emphasis on interoperability, rapid deployment, and life-saving capabilities. The company is actively involved in European defense projects and is positioning itself as a key supplier of next-generation unmanned ground systems.
