Profile
INETEC is a Croatian high-tech company founded in 1991 and headquartered near Zagreb. It specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of advanced robotic systems for non-destructive testing (NDT) and inspection in the nuclear power industry. With nearly 35 years of experience, INETEC has become a globally recognized supplier of remote-controlled manipulators and robotic platforms that perform ultrasonic (UT), eddy current (ET), and visual (VT) inspections of critical nuclear components.
The company’s robotics portfolio, showcased on its dedicated robotics page, includes more than a dozen specialized systems. The flagship LANCER II performs complete examinations of reactor pressure vessel (RPV) shells on both PWR and VVER reactors. Other notable products include:
- OCTA and ORCA – underwater modules for nozzle-to-shell weld inspections
- BRAVER – safety injection nozzle examinations
- TRACER – control rod drive mechanism inspections
- ARCHER – reactor pressure vessel head penetration testing
- TARGET – bottom-mounted instrumentation nozzle inspections
- CASTOR and FORERUNNER – steam generator tube inspections
- USHER – heat exchanger tube inspections
- OLM – visual inspection of the in-containment refueling water storage tank
Many of these robots are modular, lightweight, and designed for easy deployment in highly radioactive and confined environments. They integrate with INETEC’s own instruments, probes, controllers, and software, enabling full inspection campaigns with minimal human exposure.
INETEC robots are also used in fusion research (ITER project) and have applications in the oil & gas and medical robotics sectors. The company emphasizes compliance with the highest international standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO/IEC 17025) and offers complete turnkey solutions including design, manufacturing, on-site inspection services, training, and engineering support.
