Profile
ICON Technology, Inc. is a pioneering construction technology company focused on revolutionizing homebuilding through large-scale 3D printing. The company combines innovative architecture, structural engineering, and robotics to deliver high-performance, resilient, and cost-effective structures. Its mission centers on designing and building architecture for humanity while equipping builders with advanced tools that enable faster, more affordable, and higher-quality construction.
At the core of ICON’s offering is the Titan robotic 3D construction printer, the world’s most advanced construction system currently available for purchase. This intelligent machine overcomes limitations of earlier generations of 3D printing technology by printing taller, faster, and at lower cost while simplifying operations. Titan can print a 2,500-square-foot home in under seven days with just two technicians and a start-up time of under an hour. Wall systems are produced at approximately $20 per square foot—more than 40% below the national average. The printer features a gross manipulator tread system paired with a fine-positioning print head, along with integrated components such as a boom, pump, material mixer, control joints, and operator panel.
Each Titan purchase includes the printer, pump, and full access to ICON’s proprietary BuildOS™ software platform. BuildOS translates architectural designs into precise tool paths, synchronizes robotics and material flow, and incorporates real-time environmental data and analytics for remote monitoring. The technosystem comes with comprehensive support: two weeks of on-site training at ICON’s Austin factory, ongoing service, maintenance, event monitoring with real-time alerts, live troubleshooting via chat, on-site technical deployment when needed, and a three-year warranty.
ICON also operates a design-build division that functions as a general contractor. It offers both custom architectural designs and ready-to-build structures, spanning residential single- and two-story homes (typically 2,200–4,000 square feet and 11–21 feet tall), affordable housing, disaster-relief projects, and commercial spaces. The company’s specially engineered wall system provides exceptional strength and resilience against extreme weather. By the period covered in their records, ICON had 3D-printed 248 structures, sold 117 homes, housed 342 people, and printed over 2 million feet of material beads across projects in the U.S. and Mexico.
The company positions its technology as a solution to the global housing crisis, enabling scalable production of high-quality homes through fleets of autonomous printers. Builders purchasing Titan gain not only the hardware but also a complete ecosystem of training, software, and long-term support designed to accelerate the shift toward robotic construction.
