Profile
DOK-ING is a Croatian engineering company specializing in heavy-duty robotics and autonomous systems for hazardous environments. Founded in 1992 by Vjekoslav Majetić in Zagreb, the company has become a global leader in robotic solutions for military engineering, humanitarian demining, CBRNE (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosives) response, emergency services, and underground mining. With more than 30 years of experience and over 400 systems delivered to more than 40 countries, DOK-ING holds approximately 80% of the global market share in robotized mine-clearing machines. The company’s motto, “Don’t send a man to do a machine’s job,” reflects its core mission: protecting human lives and property in dull, dirty, and dangerous conditions by replacing humans with robust, remotely controlled or autonomous robotic platforms.
DOK-ING develops and manufactures a range of unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) and specialized robotic systems. These platforms are engineered for extreme durability, with features such as low ground pressure, high mobility, remote operation, and modular tool attachments. They are used for explosive ordnance disposal (EOD), mine clearance, firefighting, and hazardous material handling.
Key robot-based products include:
- MV Series UGVs: A family of multi-purpose robotic vehicles (including MV-2, MV-3, MV-4, MV-8 Komodo, and MV-20). These are heavy-duty, tracked platforms designed for demining, EOD, and combat engineering. They feature remote control, high payload capacity, and attachments for flails, tillers, rollers, and manipulators. The MV-8 Komodo, for example, is a modular combat engineering platform that can be equipped with remote-controlled turrets for armed missions.
- EOD Robots: Specialized systems for bomb disposal and counter-terrorism operations, developed in collaboration with Croatian authorities and international partners.
- Robotic Firefighting Systems: Autonomous or remotely operated vehicles for fire suppression in hazardous industrial or urban environments.
DOK-ING’s robots are known for their rugged construction, reliability in extreme conditions, and ability to significantly reduce human risk in life-threatening operations. The company also provides comprehensive training, maintenance, and customization services. It has received numerous international awards for innovation and technology and continues to expand its global footprint with offices in Europe, North America, Africa, and Asia.
