Profile
AgXeed is a Dutch agricultural robotics company based in Grubbenvorst, The Netherlands. Founded in 2018, it develops fully autonomous, soil-friendly field robots known as AgBots. The company’s mission is to give farmers “Freedom to Farm. Power to Grow” by reducing soil compaction, labor shortages, and operational costs while enabling more precise and sustainable farming practices.
AgXeed’s core products are the AgBot series of autonomous diesel-electric tractors. The current lineup includes four models:
- AgBot T2 7 SERIES (230 hp / 170 kW) – the most powerful model, suited for broad-acre and heavy-duty operations.
- AgBot T2 5 SERIES (156 hp / 115 kW) – versatile medium-duty robot.
- AgBot W3 2 SERIES and W4 2 SERIES (both 75 hp / 55 kW) – lighter models ideal for orchards, vegetable crops, and smaller fields.
All AgBots feature a low weight and tracked or wheeled configurations that minimize soil compaction. They work with standard 3-point linkage implements for tasks such as tillage, seedbed preparation, weeding, mowing, grassland maintenance, potato ridging, and ploughing. A key innovation is the TraXwise cloud-based planning and control software, which allows farmers to plan missions, optimize routes, monitor operations in real time, and collect field data for traceability and decision-making.
The robots operate autonomously around the clock with minimal supervision, significantly reducing labor requirements (up to 90% in some cases) and overall costs by an estimated 25–35%. AgXeed emphasizes practical, proven technology already in use on commercial farms across Europe, with real-world examples including over 1,200 operating hours in a single year on vegetable farms and successful autonomous ploughing record attempts.
