Profile
Hungarian Robotics Association (ROBOHUN) is a non-profit professional organization founded in Hungary to unite and support the country’s growing robotics ecosystem. Operating as a registered association (ROBOHUN), it serves as a national platform that brings together industrial companies, technology developers, startups, universities, research institutes, and public administration stakeholders.
The organization’s mission centers on three main pillars: facilitating the practical adoption of robotic solutions in industry and services, preparing society and the workforce for a future shaped by automation, and making robotics understandable to the general public through education and outreach. ROBOHUN works to improve Hungary’s industrial competitiveness by promoting the responsible integration of robotics, launching joint R&D projects, and representing Hungarian interests in international robotics networks.
Key activities include organizing events, creating educational programs, supporting innovation and workforce development, and building strategic alliances between market players. The association also maintains a code of ethics and manifesto emphasizing the safe, ethical, and beneficial deployment of robotics technologies. Rather than manufacturing robots itself, it acts as a catalyst and knowledge hub for the entire Hungarian robotics community.
