Profile
AGIBOT Innovation (Shanghai) Technology Co., Ltd. (also known as Zhiyuan Robotics or AgiBot) is a fast-rising Chinese robotics company founded in February 2023 by former Huawei engineers Deng Taihua and Peng Zhihui. Headquartered in Shanghai, the company specializes in developing general-purpose embodied AI robots, with a strong focus on humanoid and quadruped platforms for industrial, commercial, and service applications. In just three years, AGIBOT has become one of the world’s highest-volume producers of humanoid robots, shipping over 5,000 units in early 2026 and claiming the top global position in humanoid shipments. The company follows a full-stack approach, developing hardware, AI models, software platforms, and data ecosystems.
AGIBOT’s philosophy centers on “One Robotic Body, Three Intelligences” — integrating interaction, manipulation, and locomotion intelligence to create versatile, real-world deployable robots. The company has aggressively pushed commercialization, achieving milestones such as Guinness World Record for the longest distance walked by a humanoid robot (106 km) with its A2 model.
Key Robot-Based Products:
- AGIBOT A2 Series (Ultra, Lite, W): Full-size humanoid robots (approx. 169–175 cm tall). Designed for flexible manufacturing, customer service, and general tasks. Features advanced dexterity, navigation, and real-world adaptability. The A2 has been deployed in production lines and public demonstrations.
- AGIBOT X Series (X1, X2): Compact, agile humanoids focused on high-speed tasks, manipulation, and industrial applications. The X2 emphasizes agility and is used in electronics assembly and other high-precision environments.
- AGIBOT G Series (G1, G2): Universal embodied intelligent robots optimized for dual-arm manipulation and complex industrial workflows. The G2 has been deployed on live high-speed production lines (e.g., tablet assembly).
- AGIBOT D1 Series: Quadruped robots for inspection, industrial operations, and education/research. Available in multiple variants (Pro, Max, Ultra) for different payload and durability needs.
- Supporting Ecosystem: Includes OmniHand dexterous hands, VR teleoperation kits, Genie Studio (embodied AI development platform), and AGIBOT World — a large-scale real-world dataset for training embodied AI models.
AGIBOT stands out for its rapid scaling, strong manufacturing capabilities, and focus on real-world deployment rather than just prototypes. It targets mass adoption in manufacturing, logistics, and service sectors while building comprehensive developer tools.
